DZUKOGI’S
MISSION IS TO MAKE ANA VALUELESS AND AN APPENDAGE OF HIS NGO
Wole Adedoyin, the
National President of the Society of Young Nigerian Writers has described BM
Dzukogi, the former National General Secretary of the Association of Nigerian
Authors (ANA) as an undertaker brought into the Association to bury it.
Speaking with pressmen
after the inauguration of SYNW new project tagged ‘Yoruba Literature Prize’ aim
at recognizing, rewarding and awarding outstanding Nigerian writers of Yoruba
expression.
Picking on Dzukogi’s
appeal to ANA members to try him, Wole Adedoyin said, ‘it will be a dangerous
experiment. Dzukogi is not a stage where we are experimenting in ANA leadership
and so you cant come and beg that we should try him; we are not in the era of
experiments and trials.
‘Dzukogi is embarrassingly
clueless about the basics of being ANA president. May be he needs to wait and learn
some leadership skills after Denja’s second tenure in order to be ANA President.
‘To buttress my point,
he (Dzukogi) had appointed some staunch members of ANA from different parts of
the country as coordinators of his NGO. Not only that, he (Dzukogi) plans to
make ANA useless by bringing in some valueless agenda aim at changing the
membership structures of our great Association’.
‘We therefore appeal to
ANA members (voters) to solidly back Denja Abdulahi, the outgoing ANA president
who is seeking re-election for another tenure’.
